* Jan  1st  – Jan 4th, Baltimore Convention Center  Motor Trend International Auto Show   With more than 30 manufacturers showcasing the latest cars, trucks and crossovers, the show is an exciting, pressure-free environment for consumers to compare hundreds of vehicles at once, pop the hoods and breathe in that new-car smell.

*    Jan 9th-25th  Baltimore County Restaurant Week features a variety of restaurants to suit every taste and budget.   h

*   Jan 16th-17th, 18th, Maryland Horse World Expo–Timonium Fair Top quality seminars and clinics, enjoy mounted demonstrations, stroll down Stallion Avenue, world class shopping.

* Through May 17th–Lessons Learned-American Schoolgirl Embroideries –BMA The exhibition features more than 20 samplers and silk embroideries, from opulent to understated, made by American girls who attended schools in Maryland and other East Coast states during the 18th  century .  

* Jan 19th- Dr Martin Luther King Parade  The annual celebration not only honors Dr. King, but pays homage to others continuing his legacy. The event steps off at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Eutaw Street, proceeds south on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and disbands at Baltimore Street. The annual parade honors the immeasurable contributions of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
