* Through May 17th–Lessons Learned-American Schoolgirl Embroideries –BMA The exhibition features more than 20 samplers and silk embroideries, from opulent to understated, made by American girls who attended schools in Maryland and other East Coast states during the 18th century .
* Jan 19th- Dr Martin Luther King Parade The annual celebration not only honors Dr. King, but pays homage to others continuing his legacy. The event steps off at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Eutaw Street, proceeds south on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and disbands at Baltimore Street. The annual parade honors the immeasurable contributions of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
