Fire Museum of MD – Family Safety Day
On Family Safety Day, March 7 from 10 am – 4 p,m visit the Fire Museum of Maryland. Families can engage with local, state, and national exhibitors on ways to make their families and homes safer and healthier. There will be interactive fire extinguisher demonstrations, a scavenger hunt, and prizes. As a result, you will have fun and learn some tips along the way.
WOW Festival of Baltimore
WOW [Women of the World] Festival of Baltimore celebrates the power of women and girls in Baltimore and around the world. Presented by Notre Dame College, the festival is on March 7. It takes place at the Columbus Center in the Harbor. Featured speakers include:
- Soledad O’Brien, Award-Winning Journalist.
- Cecile Richards, Co-founder of Supermajority and author of NYTimes best-selling book Make Trouble.
- Amber Tamblyn, Actress, Director. She is the #TimesUp Co-Founder, and author of Era of Ignition: Coming of Age in a Time of Rage and Revolution.
- Cyntoia Brown-Long, Sex trafficking survivor, prison reform advocate, and author of Free Cyntoia: My Search for Redemption in the American Prison System.
Spring Maryland Home and Garden Show
One weekend is not enough time for this event! Join the fun at the Spring Maryland Home and Garden Show, Friday, March 6 – Sunday, March 8. The event is held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road in Timonium. Meet The Rose Kings – Chris VanCleave and Brian Puckett are passionate about growing roses. They’ll show you how to have the rose garden of your dreams without using harmful chemicals.
Celebrate Youth Arts Month at Port Discovery
Celebrate National Youth Art Month with Port Discovery . They will feature young local artists, including Port Discovery’s Artist in Residence, Gen Fraser. Take part in numerous interactive workshops throughout March. While you visit check out group painting, STEP dancing, and pop-up book making! Don’t miss the Puppet Powered Weekend!
Yoga and Whiskey
Kick off your Sunday right! Grab your yoga mat and visit Sagamore Spirit Distillery. The distillery is at 301 E Cromwell St., Baltimore 21230. Stop by with your yoga mat on March 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 9:30-11:00 a.m.
Orioles Baseball
Baseball season is already upon us! Seems like the O’s have nowhere to go, but up! Come see how they are doing in contrast to last year with dates between March 27 through September 29.
Spectrum of Fashion Exhibition
Come see Maryland Historical Society’s costume collection. You’ll see nearly 100 examples of women’s and men’s clothing. Included in the exhibit are accessories, as well as decorative arts. To sum up, you’ll see lots of interesting things that will give you new insights on Maryland’s history. On view through October 2020.
Black Baltimore in the Photographs of John Clark Mayden
Visit the George Peabody Library through March 1, 2020. You will enjoy Baltimore Baltimore in the Photographs by John Clark Mayden. The stark nature of these images are in stark contrast to what most photo exhibits show.
Baltimore Spirits Co. Tours
Baltimore Spirits Company offers free tours every Saturday from 12-6pm. Furthermore, they begin every half hour and do not require an reservation. In other words, you’ll enjoy this tour whenever you are available.
Any time: Spirit of Baltimore Dinner Cruise. Due to popular demand, these cruises are all year round. See the beautiful sights around the harbor. In addition, view large tanks with murals of our favorite Baltimore athletes.
